Greg Daniac and Mats Lipowski, two young Canadian hunters found themselves disappointed in the performance of a crossbow trigger. This in turn inspired them to start TriggerTech.  Pulling from their experience in the automotive industry, specifically door latches and releases. They relized that was a better way than sliding friction to handle trigger/sear engagement in a trigger. They opted for rolling friction, a revolutionary idea that can now be seen in firearms ranging from M700s to AR15s.
